The notorious “tanim bala” also known as “laglag bala” modus has reached international shores indeed. More than just an advisory the infamous scheme was featured in a Japanese show.
The video comically showcase how the modus is presumed to be performed. It also depicts that the goal of the ruse is to extort money from unsuspecting travelers.
The ploy has at least victimized a Japanese national, 33 year old Kazunobu Sakamoto, which perhaps one of the reasons why the show decided to feature the airport ploy. It may also be for the information and safety of Japanese nationals intending to visit our country.
This only signifies that our government should take serious step in curbing this airport menace otherwise it would be to our shame that something like this would represent us as a people and nation.
