Ex-boyfriend's abusive act shocks the world

A woman, named Kate Friday, a 20-year-old student from West Derby, shared her shocking story about her brutal experience with her ex-boyfriend. It is to warn other young people who may be suffering from the same situation.

She took a lot of courage to speak out about her horrible experience with her ex-boyfriend. She said that her ex-boyfriend bit her nose and forced his fingers hardly down to her throat. It ripped the flesh inside her mouth that caused bleeding. This is just one of the signs of abusive relationships. She shared her story because she wanted to alert people about it.

Her 21-year-old ex-boyfriend named Kyle Newby, who abused her, got admitted to harassment and assault. Friday called it 'disgusting' when her ex-boyfriend avoided life imprisonment. According to her, signs that a partner is being abusive when he becomes controlling and starts to ban her from wearing clothes that is not his style. She said that it happened to her because he was her first boyfriend and didn't know what was a healthy relationship like. She just got used to what he was doing to her and came to accept the violent treatment. However, she thought that she wished there had been someone to tell her about the warning signs. So, no one should ever have to get used to this cruelty. It should've been avoided.

Subsequently, she realized and said that she shouldn't put the blame on herself for his abusive conduct. Then, she wrote an inspiring message to other victims of domestic violence on Facebook.

In her message, she said all about her realizations, her wrong conclusion and solution. She thought that nobody would take her seriously because of her young age. She thought that nobody would listen because she's too young. But then, she said she's wrong. She said that she's made the best decision she could ever make and it's to look for help. Because of the help and support of so many people, specially her family, she has moved on and now in a place where she can say she is happy, healthy and strong. Abuse doesn't always happen physically. She said that it's unbelievable how can your partner have power and control on you. She said that people have to realize that no one deserves this. We are all important. There are those people who will love and believe us. Keep in mind that we will move on and surely will overcome this all together. The first step to take is always the hardest part but we should know that we are worthy. When you feel like you are walking on egg shells constantly, it's the time for you to walk away
