This devoted teacher crosses 5 rivers and walks for 2 hours everyday just to teach her students

We all have heard of stories when dedicated teachers give so much sacrifice in order to educate the youth. This teacher from Occidental Mindoro, Philippines gives us a new definition of the words dedication and sacrifice. An epitome of this hero is Elizabeth Miranda, featured on GMA 7's Frontrow who walks for 2 hours and crosses 5 rivers without bridges just to reach Sitio Boragante, Occidental Mindoro, Philippines where she willingly teaches her students, a sacrifice only a few people would do.

Without aid she goes through the running waters using only the inflated interiors of tires to avoid getting wet.

After the long hours of travelling, she reached the school of the village, where there is only one big classroom to hold the classes of the students. She is the only teacher available for all the different levels of the student.

Miranda admitted that there were some moments when she already wants to give up. During these moments of uncertainty, she just turns to her students for hope. As she continues to see the interest of students rise in each class, she stays positive that she's influencing young minds to fall in love with knowledge.

She also hopes that people would start noticing her effort and help her in her mission to teach kids. Hopefully, the government builds a bridge or a better school for the kids and the heroic teacher. Watch the video of the full report below.
