Bongbong to run as Miriam’s VP

Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago will run for president with Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos as her running mate, Politiko has learned.

A source told Politiko that Marcos’ camp has been in talks with Santiago regarding the possibility of running together.

Specifically, Marcos has discussed his proposal to run with Santiago with the latter’s husband, Jun Santiago.

Marcos already filed his certificate of candidacy but didn’t say if he will campaign together with a particular presidential aspirant.

Santiago, on the other hand, just announced she will be running for president on Tuesday afternoon.
Although the senator was mum on the identity of her running mate, she said the particular politiko already announced his political plans.

“He already announced. We’ll be running together. I can’t give the answer because his wife might scold him,” was the answer she gave to reporters.
